The Kakani Foundation Community Service Award is designed to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities through charitable activities and service. This prestigious award not only recognizes the recipient’s dedication and impact but also encourages the continuation and expansion of their efforts across the United States through the Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) chapters.
This year’s winner of this prestigious award is:
RUSHALI KOTHARI
Rushali is an MS-4 at Albany Medical College. Her project, titled “Story Time Stars,” aims to engage medical professionals in promoting early childhood literacy. Members will read with and distribute books to children to encourage an appreciation for reading while also empowering caregivers with resources to encourage reading at home.
